Thanks for your interest. My students are racially and economically diverse, interested in learning about the world and creating a future for themselves. My World History students study major historical eras from the Enlightenment to present day. They connect current events to past events and write essays based on reading excerpted from historical documents. In AP Human Geography, high school freshmen enrolled in their first AP class learn about the world through all areas of social science, from cartography to culture, agriculture, politics, economics, and urban development. I teach them to see the world and how to study and apply knowledge. My IB Cultural Anthropology class is one of only a handful that exists in California. Students learn to see their own culture objectively by studying other cultures in depth. Cultures are studied from all world regions, including India, Scotland, Mexico, and Iraq.
