My students come from very low income homes. Most of the time the parents have not gone to college. A lot of our parents are young parents or parents that have traveled here from another country. My students are so sweet and I love teaching in this community. I would love to give them the pride of walking across the stage with their caps and gowns. In the hopes that I show them and guide them to keep graduating. I try to foster a love for school in my classroom, I want them to learn that succeeding is just trying your best. You only fail when you have stopped trying! I am currently pursuing my master's degree and I tell them all the time that I still do homework and I still love learning.
