I have been teaching school for 10 years. The first two years I taught first grade. Then I moved to second grade and I have been teaching there ever since. I absolutely LOVE teaching! I love watching students get excited when they meet their goals. I love watching them discover and learn new things. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. I am constantly trying to find new and improved ways to help engage my students. I work closely with 3 other 2nd grade teachers. We collaborate everyday in order to help one another improve our skills. I also believe that parent communication is the key for children's success. Raising a child is a team effort and when teachers and parents work closely together children will be successful. There are challenges with teaching just as there are in other professions. The biggest challenge that some teachers face is lack of funding. Thanks for your support.
