In my classroom, I encourage my students to work collaboratively in all subject areas with peers of varying ability. Every student in my classroom has a unique outlook and point of view that can help others in the classroom. My students are coming from low income homes. Working at a Title 1 school, many of our families are struggling to provide the basic needs for their children. As an educator, I am working to ensure that every child is given the same opportunities for success. All of my students need more practice in working together, problem solving, and communicating effectively with each other while learning the skills and standards that are expected.
