Students learn best through instruction that is targeted specifically for them. For this reason, we incorporate a lot of small group activities throughout the day. I group students with similar needs and push them at the level of instructional rigor they are ready for. In order to make this time successful, students who are not a part of a small group work with the teacher must be actively engaged in their independent work or small group center. Help us incorporate technology in the classroom to create an engaging small group center! Laptop computers are an excellent resource in the classroom that allow students to have access to a number of educational resources including games and literacy related websites.
