My students need handmade visual materials individualized to their language needs. This includes materials such as visual schedules, adapted books and anchor charts. Additionally, all materials need to be in both English and Spanish. Consequently, materials are all translated and handmade by me.
A printer, color ink, laminating machine and pouches, and velcro will enable me to create visually effective, colorful and durable products to support language learning.
I have seen the difference color makes to visually organize language supports and encourage vivid language use. With these materials, my students can increase their communication skills and access learning in the classroom.
