These kidney tables may not seem like a vital part of setting up a classroom, however for my students they are more than necessary.
These tables will allow me to have two spots in the room where I can pull guided reading groups. At 4th grade, the focus is on reading comprehension. No longer is our focus on learning to read. For many of my students, this doesn't meet their needs. They need explicit phonics instruction, while also getting instruction on how to understand the text. These tables will allow me to group students based on specific learning needs and then meet with them daily around that. It will allow me as a teacher to see all the students as they are working with me, as well as to make sure the rest of the class is on task and working at their individual seats. Please consider donating to this project. My students will benefit immensely from this project!
