Unable to see water processes at the molecular level, my students struggle with this concept that's a unifying and re-occurring theme in our course. Having models that students can manipulate can facilitate the learning process; gaining a better understanding of multiple processes that sustain life on earth. Because of budget limitations, this year I have attempted to make the water molecules with Styrofoam, but there are still many limitations to my home-made models that these kits will enable us to do.
