I affectionately call my students the Latin Stars, because they all come from a Spanish speaking home. Unfortunately, my stars attend an inner city school that is facing tremendous financial difficulties and their parents have very limited resources. My classroom is made up of students with limited English skills, and others speak no English at all. Out of 24 students in the class few have access to a computer and all but two, have access to the Internet to do homework and reinforce lessons taught in class. My stars are at a great disadvantaged when compared to other children in the state. They constantly ask me "When are we going to get Chromebooks for our class?"
