The resources will allow students to fully express themselves through their cards and decks without having to shell out tons of money, or driving to their nearest card store, which is more than an hour away for some. With these cards, students can finally start to make decks that reflect the type of game they'd like to play, and then use them to battle other students. Students will have an outlet to test their creativity, cleverness, and strategic thinking skills in a competitive environment that is fun and supportive. Through Magic, students develop critical thinking, mathematical skills, gamesmanship, and humility. Right now, students have to share cards that are only enough for about half the club. With these extra boxes, everybody will be able to dive in and participate for the entire year, and we will be able to take the next steps to run competitive events where skilled and clever students can be recognized for their mental achievements. Magic is the perfect game for anybody who loves science fiction, fantasy, and strategic games.
