I am creating a flexible, student-friendly classroom library space for my high school English students. Students love alternative seating options and providing them choices for reading and seating promotes a strong classroom community that is literacy-rich. Providing a variety of high-interest novels and comfortable seating creates a community and allows students to take ownership of their educational choices. My project includes a large selection of young adult novels from a variety of genres and interests to engage all students in my classroom. I can't wait to see the reaction of my amazing students when they see what I have created for them.
