I have created an open learning space with a variety of seating using recycled material. We have removed the legs from desks and chairs to allow for lower seating. Old milk crates are being used to store students' materials. Students are also able to sit on the on the windowsills and use music stands. We did all of this with no cost to the school or us. We need to update our classroom with furniture that is not old and worn. The chairs will allow students to wiggle while they work without distracting others. The table will allow for student collaboration. The cubes will be used for storage of student materials. By getting new furniture the students will have more options when finding the best place for them to learn. This will allow students to be more focused and engaged in their learning in a comfortable and exciting way!
