I teach elementary music at Portage Path CLC in Akron, Ohio. I teach grades K-5. I have been at Portage Path since 2009. I have taught in the Akron City School District since 1998. I have recently changed my teaching style to follow Zoltan Kodaly. I have been reading books and rewriting lesson plans to accommodate this teaching framework. The Kodaly method includes critical thinking, creativity, and 21st Century skills. I am excited to get started with this framework. I am in need of some instructional materials to get started.
