Wiggle, wiggle, wobble, wobble! This is what five years olds do all day long. Yet my students are expected to sit and work for long periods of time. As a class, we were discussing ways we could improve our focus and work. My students saw the Wobble stools another class in our building had and they wanted them, too. They noticed how students could move and rock on the stools. My students thought if they could move, they could focus. Kindergarten students are busy and have endless energy. The expectations for kindergarten students have increased dramatically. Yet, they still need to move and play. The students need help staying focused for extended periods of time. This is why they need Wobble Chairs. The chairs would allow them to rock, wiggle, and move. It will also help them with posture and trunk control. My students are eager to learn! They are busy, active five year olds who need to move. The chairs will be used for whole group instruction, reading groups and independent work time. Please help me improve the focus of my students by providing them a chance to move.
