Students succeed when they are provided with basic supplies to help them create models and diagrams. These basic supplies, including markers, colored pencils, Styrofoam balls, and Play Doh, would allow students to have a more hands-on experience with learning rather than through textbook or Power Point presentations.
Students will be able to use their creativity to diagram and model various science topics. They are able to put their personal touch on a concrete concept which therefore helps them own the concept. These supplies would be used for projects to create cell models, models of the layers of the earth. They will be able to demonstrate how plate boundaries move.
