Board games will help ECI students learn a variety of math concepts, social skills, and assist in language development. Matching and sorting of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters can be achieved through many children's board games. Our students will learn new vocabulary, build language skills, and conversation skills. Turn taking, sharing, and learning to wait are also important social skills that can be learned when playing games with peers and teachers.
Children under the age of five learn best through play, and board games are a wonderful way to teach our young learners a variety of academic and social skills. These skills will not only benefit students in their early years, but will carry on throughout their entire school career. Success is often found when a strong foundation has been laid. For children, that foundation is established in the first five years of life. We aim to make our students' time in ECI really count. Your donations will help immensely with that.
