These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by providing various options for my students to sit in my classroom. Some of my students speak very little English and by providing opportunities to try out different seating, would allow them to verbally ask for a new spot as well as build their confidence levels.
Flexible seating would open up opportunities for my students to feel very comfortable and help build their confidence. A few of my students have had a difficult time adjusting to coming to a new country with no friends plus either none or very few that can speak the same language. I want my students to enjoy coming to school and help them learn English.
Students have options and be able to gain confidence choosing to sit at trapezoid tables. Students that are feeling sad or nervous will be able to wobble cushions or balance balls to sit on when working on an assignment. By providing my students with options on where to sit, they will feel welcomed into my classroom.
