I teach a wonderful class of 26 second graders in Silverton, Oregon. These kids are the highlight of my day. They come to school each day excited beyond belief to learn something new! My students come from all different backgrounds, income levels, and home lives. They all learn in different ways and have many different interests. One thing they definitely have in common though is their love of learning. This is especially true when it comes to science. Project based learning, science experiments, and STEM is a daily thing in our room. My students are encouraged to explore their inner scientist/engineer and to research new topics through reading and technology.
