My students create their Book of Knowledge throughout the school year. Basically, they are creating their own book of United States History. They use their Book of knowledge to take class notes, write stories, analyze documents, create graphs, charts, and maps, draw political cartoons, study vocabulary, and glue in items specific to U.S. History.
The students take their Book of knowledge with them when they leave my 8th grade United States History class and go to High School. The information in the book will help them prepare when the time comes for them to take their U.S. History EOI state test.
The Composition Books are used as their Book of Knowledge and the colored paper is used as unit dividers and used for items glued into their books.
