I am looking for funding for a table top light table and manipulatives to use with the table. The light table is a wonderful resource to engage students in authentic play! It creates time for higher level thinking and increases language development. This teaching tool can be used in a variety of different ways. A light table is fantastic tool for the visual learner and open-ended for the spark of creativity to bring beauty into the classroom. It will be a versatile addition. Whether it be academic or social skills, a light table will be a fabulous plus to our class. I believe I will be providing my low-income, diverse students with an opportunity to experience many valuable lessons with this teaching device.
