We learn best through hands on experience. As learners we must be able to touch and experience for ourselves. The materials I have chosen will help my students across all content areas. Students will receive a hands on approach in science by building landforms and exploring force and motion using magnets. In reading student will create a research report on a particular bug. From there they will show the classifications of this bug in a clay model. Students will be able to use the paint to add details to their projects throughout the year and the manilla folders are versatile tools that can be used in any subject. My students will also have the opportunity to explore beginning STEM activities with the Gears kit. This will be used as an extra in my math and science sciences to encourage imagination and engineering.
