In my class, I work to build confidence and independence in my students. Though they have special needs, each student is bright and eager to learn to the best of their abilities. By having the easel, game libraries, and sensory toys requested, I will be able to conduct morning meeting and engage more fully with my students, allow them opportunities to work on their alphabet knowledge, meet their sensory needs, and provide more hands-on centers. The easel requested will allow me to write out a morning message to my students and allow them to see how sentences are formed. They will also be able to use the easel during centers with magnetic letters and be able to work on spelling CVC words and their names. The math folders will create more choices during math center time and allow for more independent activities. The sensory items I have requested will help my students with sensory needs to be able to self-regulate and be able to more fully participate in lessons.
I cherish each student and want to provide a fun and exciting environment for them to learn and grow in. I want them to be able to interact with the materials in our classroom and be able to learn and work independently when possible.
