My students' needs vary greatly in the third grade. While I have many students working on grade level, I also have quite a few performing above grade level, and a few performing below grade level. I also have three Exceptional Children students in my classroom who have greater needs academically.
Due to the varying levels of learning within my classroom, I teach in small groups rather than one whole group so that I can meet the individual needs of all of my students. On occasion, students have behavioral issues such as being out of their seat, distracting other students, or talking too loudly, which can all easily distract students who are on task.
These distractions can seriously impede students' learning. By having these noise reduction ear-muffs, all of my students will be able to focus and do their own personal best.
Using these noise reducing ear-muffs in my room will truly make a difference by allowing everyone to work quietly and remain on task despite what may be going on around them. I know for a fact that these work because a colleague of mine has let me borrow some of hers to try out. We are very excited to have our own set!
