Students are returning from a year away from school with many social and emotional needs that need to be addressed. Art is a healing way for students to recenter themselves and reconnect with school. I will be incorporating numerous art projects into many different areas of the curriculum-from science to reading, math to social studies. Art can provide students with an alternate way to understand the world around them and allows them to express their feelings. Please help give our 4th graders oil pastels, paper, markers, and clay for a chance to create, learn, feel successful, and heal their trauma through art.
