I am a first grade teacher at a full-inclusion school within Boston Public Schools system. This will be my first year as a teacher, and I cannot wait to meet the students and families I will be working with!
Although this will be my first year teaching, my student-teaching experiences have opened my eyes to the shear lack of resources in many public schools. Students in every community deserve access to the tools and experiences needed for a great education. This is especially true for students in full-inclusion classrooms (where students with disabilities learn amongst typically-developing peers). The need for differentiation among students in these classrooms is profound, and it is not effectively achieved without the proper resources.
