I'm asking for a class set of TI 34 Scientific Calculators. My students need this scientific calculator to better understand the content they are being taught in 8th grade. The calculators we have now are basic elementary calculators and are not sufficient to calculate cube roots, scientific notation, and one and two variable statistics. These are just some of the pre-algebra skills required in 8th grade math. The TI34 has similar functions to the TI84 graphing calculator students will see in high school. Having this calculator in 8th grade makes the transition to the TI84 graphing calculator much easier for them.
