Make a donation Teacher D. can use on their next classroom project.
Donations to this project will be beneficial because it will allow my students to apply skills with a more meaningful hands on approach. Instead of just completing worksheets, students can actually create or practice the skills doing something engaging. For example, when teaching area and perimeter students can be asked to redesign the classroom and create blueprints and models of the new classroom.
Many of my students have special needs and have many different learning styles. I use centers to make sure that I meet each students needs. The supplies I requested will help each students meet their learning style. For students who are tactile learnings they can create different projects and my visual learners can use the white boards to draw our problems. My audio learners can listen to stories at the listening station and then have book discussions with one another.
Reading is also an important aspect of my classroom. I would like to create an atmosphere where students enjoy reading so I think the rig and pillows will encourage students to want to sit back and enjoy a nice read.
