The Fire tablets technology will serve the students to access academic content in their home language at school via online or remotely with teacher guided instruction. They will be able to access academic information from various content areas (Social Studies, Science, Math, History, Language, etc.)
The access to this technology and website will give them a viable resource to connect their first language comprehension and transfer skills into English. The technology will allow them to enhance their comprehension and knowledge in content areas involving oral language projects as well. The essential goal of the technology is to provide them with up to date resources to improve their oral and written language reports in the classroom academically and spark their interest in maintaining their language and being academically prepared in both languages. As the saying goes in Spanish "Lo quien sabe dos idiomas vale por dos personas".
