After visiting many homes over the past 7 years I have decided to take on the challenge of creating a home away from home in my classroom for my students. My hope is that by creating a welcoming home like feel in our classroom students will feel at ease when coming to school. I want to build on the family feel in our classroom and help students understand that while we all come from different places, in room 2 we are a family and can support each other to make sure that everyone is receiving what they need to be the best learner. Through this project I will be able to create a home like feel in our classroom where all students will feel a calm environment and can be valued for their unique differences.

About my class
