This Listening Center will help my students in a variety of ways. My students will be able to follow along with the story being read to them. They will be able to pick our familiar words as they read along with the book. They will be able to see punctuation marks on the page and listen as the reader pauses at the end of a sentence. It will teach my students responsibility as they will be responsible for putting up their headphones after they finish listening to a book. Finally, it will help build an excitement for reading in my classroom.
