Keeping your mind clear is essential in Yoga, it is also a great practice for being a kid. Too many times I see students bogged down with all types of emotions that if they just took a deep breath they could work through it. For this project I would like to get my students breathing deeper and working their muscles while being conscious of only their breath and stature using Yoga. To get the students started I have asked for Yoga mats with cleaner so the students are not just working on a floor. The requested books are a great way to start topics to get students to open up and let go of negativity.
The only thing better about learning yoga is becoming the teacher to other students. Students will be able to design their own yoga poses and print them out using the printer and laminate them to hang up around the gym so students can practice different poses. For those feeling a little less creative I would like to use the yoga pose cards.
There are many websites that deep abdominal breathing for 20-30 minutes a day will help eliminate more stress than sitting like a couch potato or worrying about it.
