My students have grown greatly this year with the use of reading interactive centers. Math skills have not grown to such a great degree. Math manipulates and center kits will improve student skills in common core areas or addition, place value, number recognition, geometry, and so forth. These kits will engage students and provide them independent practice time on skills while other struggling students work one to one with me to gain concepts. Math is an essential part of first grade as students learn the foundation of place value and addition/subtraction. Students will use these materials to grow in the basic foundations of math within a first grade classroom.
