Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. My students are allowed to choose where they would like to complete their learning during independent time. Currently my students can switch tables, sit on the floor, or sit on two stools that are available in the classroom. These flexible seating items we are needing for this project will help to ensure the students are comfortable and more engaged in their learning. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. Flexible learning not only give students choices about where to sit but it also teaches them about making smart choices and owning their learning.
