Drawing is an important activity where students learn to see and observe things around them in a new way. Drawing allows them to pay attention to small things, to details or things that would otherwise go unnoticed.
With the high cost of living as well as the cost of other school supplies, students must provide for themselves. Families struggle to buy everything their children need.
There is not enough money in the art budget for our school to buy sketchbooks for every student. This grant would provide sketchbooks for each student to use in the art room when they come each week.
