I will be utilizing the Handwriting Without Tears Sound Around Box during circle time to enrich language and literacy activities. This box will allow the students to have hands-on experiences with letters, rhymes, syllables, alphabet knowledge, oral language, and much more. The activities will provide the children opportunities to see, build, hear and touch each letter and sound as we move through the alphabet! This gives all the kids a chance to "shine" by showing what they have learned through their own individual learning style.
My students learn by doing! The light table and learning materials will allow me to give my students a very "bright" and interesting way to to build letters, be creative, and continue to work on their literacy and fine motor skills through play! Their faces will "light up" when they see this new activity!
