The daily use of math manipulatives will assist me in teaching my students number sense by using them to count on, add, subtract, compare numbers, and practice fact fluency. I use these regularly during my math lessons. Since my students are all learning virtually, I want them to be able to have the opportunity to have these items to help them learn at home. These will be used on a regular basis.
The frequent use of using manipulatives promotes motivation for wanting to continue learning. Students LOVE using their own manipulatives to understand number sense. Using them daily involves several modalities of multiple intelligences that reach every student.
