Part of my teaching goal is to prepare my students to become technology savvy, career and college ready. After my students receive the technology devices, students will continue to be placed in small groups throughout the day. These kindergarten students will be ready to become digital citizens, interact online with literacy, writing, and math, engage in cross curriculum activities, create blogs, publish their work, use educational websites that will assess them according to their ability, engage in differentiated instruction activities, track student success, and much more. Our kindergarten class will be considered a twenty-first century learning environment. The three Kindle readers that I hope to receive for my classroom, will help reinforce the skills of struggling readers. The five tablets will enhance the classroom environment and the students' learning environment. The eight headphones will help students stay focused due to having short attention spans, and will enhance their study results and performance. Technology is the way to go in today's society. It is connected in almost every aspect of our daily routine. Technology affects a great portion of our lives such as how we shop, socialize, connect, play and most importantly, how we learn. As technology becomes more prurient in our lives, it only makes sense to have mobile technology devices in the classroom. Technology is not only a savvy tool to use for differentiated instruction, it is definitely a valuable learning tool.
