I currently teach first grade in a low income area. One hundred percent of our students receive free lunch. I would like to have 2 I-pads specifically for the students to use in class. Currently, we are using district issued Chomebooks and there are no computers in the classroom. Students are allowed to take them home and when they forget to bring their devices, there are no extras available. Most of my students are tech savvy and can navigate the use of new technology with minimal assistance. iPads are easier for the students in my grade level to use and I will not have to interrupt the rest of the class to support the ones who will be using them.
