The Wobble Chairs, Seat-Upons and Ball Chairs I am requesting will help me set up alternative seating in my classroom. Not every child benefits from sitting in standard classroom chairs. Supplying my students with seating that will help them focus and stay on task is my goal.
Alternative seating will provide my students with opportunities to move, or sit on the floor comfortably while learning and working.
The wobble chairs will provide students with the need to move the opportunity to sway back and forth, forward and backward safely, while engaging in school work. I have used stability balls in the past and am very interested to try ones that have legs so they don't roll around the classroom while not in use. I have seen the bouncing work wonders for children who have a hard time concentrating. The seat-upons will be used at a dropped table (legs taken off) for students who feel more comfortable on the floor. I will also allow these seats to move around the room with clipboard use.
I'm excited to start alternative seating in my second grade classroom. I want to provide comfort and safety to my students as they learn while moving! Thank you for helping to fund my project for my little learners. I know they will love it!
