The 4 balance ball chairs and 4 wobble cushions will help my Kindergarten students free their minds by giving them the freedom to meet their bodies' needs for seating. Responsive classroom techniques create a nurturing and engaging environment. My students need to be able to fit their young, active physical selves into the structure and expectations of a full day at school. By providing flexible seating and an environment that allows students to respond to their physical needs by choosing where they sit to work, I can maximize engagement and create motivated independent thinkers. Teaching children to focus their energies in Kindergarten fosters a lifetime of learning. The environment that children new to school encounter and that becomes the main stage of their early learning is critical to developing positive learning behaviors and attitudes toward school and work. These materials will give my students choice of workspace that feels good and has been shown to increase productivity. Flexible space promotes flexible thinking!
