I'm in my 4th year of teaching social studies and language arts at Sunnyside. The last 3 years I have learned more about the community I grew up in than I did in the first 21 years I lived in it. I can tell you that I am 100% in the place I am supposed to be. I have been teaching inclusion
for the last 3 years which means half of my students have learning disabilities. I go above any beyond to make every one of my students feel like they are part of my classroom family. My main goal is helping them build confidence in themselves, because most of them feel stupid. All I can say about my classroom is that it is full of humans that need so much love and attention, and I do my best to create this magical place where they can feel at home and loved.
