I teach second grade at Ridgeview Elementary School in OKCPS. Supplies are always in need. Many supplies are used each year and need to be replenished. First, I want my children to have dry erase markers to use as they practice their handwriting and phonics skills. Paper is put into clear ticket holders. The children are able to write on the plastic and hold their work up for me to see from their desk. Next, I want them to have their weekly spelling words printed on colored paper. They go home to study for their weekly spelling test. Then, the colored paper will be also be used for special notes going home. The colored paper will stand out for parents. I always tell the parents to look for the colored paper in their child's backpack for important information. Finally, folders will be used for Thursday folders which are sent home with graded classwork and special notes. The parents sign and return them on Friday.
