Our students are extra special to our school. In my classroom we have students with Autism, ADD, and other learning disabilities, as well as health issues. Many of my students struggle to focus on specific tasks. The more comfortable their bodies are, the easier it is for their brains to focus on one task at a time. Giving students options of where to sit, Hokki stools, stability balls, or using the lap desks, will help them to be comfortable.
These alternative seating options will give students the ability to move their bodies within a certain area. If their bodies are moving, their brains can focus on the task at hand.
