The items being asked for already have an important place and use in my classroom. We all need to move sometimes just to help us stay focused. Some students can just wiggle their foot and it satisfies this need, others need a chair what will allow them to sway or an item in their hand to help them think through touch. By providing flexible seating and sensory objects the students will be able to focus better during learning. The more they are allowed to take charge of their education and learning how to make good choices for success, the better their confidence, test scores, and behaviors.
