Having these items will help instill the love of reading in my students. The boxes will help me organize and level "just right books" for each group of students in my class room. By making the library center a special place to go, the students will be able to relax, read, and learn. These bean bag chairs will also be used for other learning centers as well as in conjunction with the headphones at the listening center. Students will choose a book, find a comfy spot on their chair, and read. This will also help keep the level of distraction to a minimum as I am working with one small group and the other students are about the room working independently.
Your donations will reduce behavioral issues in my classroom while creating a fun, safe place to foster love of reading! Many times I have students who come into the classroom in the morning stressed and upset before their school day even begins. Taking a few minutes in the bean bag chairs to decompress will be used as a strategy to help refocus the student on the day ahead. This will help alleviate issues that so the entire class can stay on track, on task, and keep learning!
