I am trying to build up our instrument inventory. Large instruments are expensive to by and rent. Currently i'm limited one how many students I can have on saxophone. My students are sharing instruments for different band classes which is bad for the instrument and can be a health issue as well. Seeing new instruments will also give a morale boost since none have been acquired recently.
I am trying to expand the program since we lose some middle school students due to lack of instruments. Currently, my students participate in Jazz, Concert, and Marching Bands. Not having anything or just broken instruments lead to a high dropout rate for music and leaves an overall negative feeling of personal failure.
