My students use some type of technology whether it's chromebooks, iPads, and computers every day! In order for my students to get the most out of the technology, they need headphones to help keep their focus on their computer and what they are working on at the time. The students are always doing research, a virtual lab, or taking AR tests to help reach their reading goal for the nine weeks. If my students have headphones during this time, they will not have the distraction of another student's computer read aloud to them or giving them instructions for a project.
My students are growing up in a very technological era. They know how to navigate through websites better than trying to find it in a book. Some students learn better by talking out loud as they are reading or researching. If my students all have their own set of headphones, they would be able to do just that without disturbing their neighbor.
My class would benefit greatly by having a class set of headphones. The headphones will help with students being distracted whether it is by another classmate or if I am talking with a group at the back of the classroom. My students would love to say they have their own headphones even if it is only for the school year! Any donations big or small will help tremendously! Thanks in advance!
