Look around. The amount of technology in today's society is insane. It is simply everywhere: people scroll through social media while waiting in line, adults play games at the dinner table, and kids are trying to beat their highest level when riding the bus. Technology has taken over our society, and while it may be in our surroundings, the kiddos in my school see very little of technology in their daily lives. They are simply not exposed to technology, unless it is at school! If we do use technology at school, they're exposed to a laptop which is used in a group. Over half of my kiddos at home do not have a computer or tablet. I may not be able to help them achieve owning technology at home, but I can help expose them more at school.
By blessing my kiddos with these iPads and cases, you can have the opportunity to help them grow academically. Certain iPad games and learning apps will help bridge the gaps that teachers simply cannot. Some students are embarrassed by their lack of technology. They are differentiated and treated differently in society without the background knowledge of how technology works, and I'm afraid they will be behind in their future endeavors. My goal is to help them grow intellectually, but also socially. These kiddos deserve some loving. Please help this dream become a reality for our classroom!
