The ceramic tools(canvas boards, thickness strips, mini ribbon tool sets, fettling knives, scraper tools, sponges, and etc.) that I am requesting is to help launch the ceramics program. Working with clay is essential to any art program and will give students a well rounded educational experience in art. Working with clay is very therapeutic. Clay is malleable and extremely fun to work with, giving students the opportunity to make something functional, while learning about aesthetics, art criticism and art history. Being able to take a functional piece of artwork home is very rewarding because it is not only something that is put on display, but something that can be used on a daily basis.
