My students need a visible space of their own. I have a group of twenty energetic, curious, and loving third graders who are working towards respectful interactions with each other. The items I have requested all support my third graders in understanding personal space. I have requested a carpet with thirty individual spots so that each student has his or her own space. I have also requested stools so each student can comfortably fit around the teacher table. Lastly, I have requested a wobble chair to support students who struggle with sitting in a conventional classroom chair.
